Solar Solutions for Everyone: Commercial, Residential, and Homebuilders
We know that you have a number of choices when you’re ready to add solar to your home or office building. But we also know that Redline Electric & Solar is one of the best commercial and residential solar companies in the business. Why? We’re glad you asked.
All of our techs are NABCEP trained.
The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP: http://www.nabcep.org) offers training and certification programs for solar installers. At Redline Electric & Solar, we consider NABCEP to be the gold standard for training, and that is why we use NABCEP-accredited courses and certification for all of our employees.
Redline is a preferred solar installer.
Both SRP and APS have lists of their preferred solar installers, and Redline is on both of them. SRP currently has 11 companies on their list (http://www.srpnet.com/environment/solar/home/solarinstallers.aspx), all of which are licensed, bonded, insured, and trained on SRP’s customer generation price plan. APS has a similar process and companies have to be renewed annually to stay in their qualified solar installer program (https://www.aps.com/en/globalservices/installers/Pages/home.aspx).
Each installation is unique.
Your home and your needs are not the same as everyone else’s. Therefore, your solar solution shouldn’t be either. When you call us, we’ll review your electric bills first to see where we can help. Our motto is “reduce before produce,” so we look at what your home or office is using energy wise before suggesting a full solar installation. We may start with an energy audit or changes to behavior to reduce your electricity usage as well.
Battery backups and generators are our specialty.
Many customers prefer to add a battery backup or generator to their solar installation so they always have power available. We have access to all of the major brands of battery backup and generators, including Sonnen, Tesla, EnPhase, Generac, and Outback, and we’ll ensure you choose the right option for your home or office.
Installations can be completed in as little as one day.
Completing solar installations isn’t a part-time gig for us at Redline Electric & Solar. Our team is at the ready and can complete your solar installation quickly, often as quickly as in one day.
Rules? We always follow the rules!
Just because we are able install solar panels in one day doesn’t mean that we always can. We follow all city, state, and federal regulations to ensure that your installation is not only completed on time but is also done safely and to code.
We’re passionate about the environment.
Sure, solar allows you to save some money on your electrical bills, but we know it really comes down to helping the environment. Our team is committed to making a difference, both today and for future generations, because we understand that reducing your carbon footprint can be a bigger determining factor in choosing solar than reducing costs.
We love working with homebuilders.
Redline Electric & Solar has extensive experience working with new homebuilders. We partner with Home Energy Rating System-rated companies (HERS: https://www.resnet.us/hers-index) on a case-by-case basis as needed to complete projects.
Benefits of Going Solar
Whether you’re considering solar for your home or office, it can be a big decision with a big payoff. These are just some of the reasons you may choose to move forward with adding solar to your residential or commercial building.
Saving money by reducing your electric bill is one of the main reasons consumers choose to go solar. After all, we do live in the Valley of the Sun, where temperatures exceed 100ºF one third of the year. Across the US, the typical family saves $1,400 or more a year on electrical bills by switching to solar. And you can imagine that savings can skyrocket in a commercial building. Some of those who switch to solar save up to 90% of their costs and may even choose to go off grid and be 100% solar.
Most people who install solar see a return on their investment within 6 to 12 years, depending on usage.
Panels and inverters are warranted for 25 years. If you ever have any issues, just contact us and we’ll help you get them taken care of.
Should You Own or Lease?
There are two options for adding solar panels to your home or office: owning or leasing through a power purchase agreement. Knowing which is better is key to determining how much savings you will enjoy with your solar installation.
As with a traditional lease, at the end of the term, the product returns to the company. In solar installations, the length of the lease is typically 20 years. Alternately, the company can offer a buyout arrangement for “fair market value,” which is often as little as 25% of the current purchase price.
A power purchase agreement is similar to a traditional lease. Here, you give the solar company permission to install the system at your home or office. You purchase the power from the production of the system, while the company provides maintenance and upkeep.
Regardless of which lease option you choose, you are still renting your power and there is no real return on investment.
When you purchase your solar system outright, you own it from day one. You start to see a return on investment, and the value of your property will increase. As an owner, residential customers qualify for a 30% tax credit as well, and they are able to lock in their solar rates.
Owning your solar system represents an initial investment that pays off dividends in many ways over the long term.
